Terms of Use
Last updated 25 July 2026. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
1. About this site
redsquirrelglamping.co.uk is an independent editorial guide to glamping in the Lake District National Park and the wider county of Cumbria. It is published by Red Squirrel Glamping ("we", "us").
We are not a travel agent, a tour operator, a booking agent or an accommodation provider. We hold no inventory. We take no commission. We cannot make, alter or cancel a booking on your behalf.
2. The content is editorial guidance, not a warranty
Everything on this site is our editorial opinion and general guidance, offered in good faith. In particular:
- Prices are indicative bands, not quotations. They are our assessment of typical market rates at the time of writing and they will be out of date at some point after publication.
- Amenity descriptions may change. Sites add and remove hot tubs, change dog policies, alter minimum stays and change hands entirely.
- Seasonal and weather information is general. Rainfall figures, temperature ranges and opening seasons are approximate.
- Distances and drive times are estimates.
Always confirm current prices, availability, amenities and policies directly with the operator before you travel or pay anything.
3. Third-party operators and businesses
We name glamping sites, campsites, agencies, booking platforms and other businesses for editorial purposes. Naming a business does not imply any of the following:
- That we are affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to it
- That it endorses or has approved anything we have written
- That we have any commercial arrangement with it
- That we have inspected, stayed at or verified the property
Descriptions of named operators are compiled from published information, geographical and planning context, and the general pattern of publicly available feedback. They are not inspection reports. Where we have not stayed somewhere, we do not claim to have done.
Trade marks and business names remain the property of their owners and are used here for identification and editorial comment only.
4. Your dealings with operators are yours alone
Any contract you enter into for accommodation is between you and the operator or platform concerned. We are not a party to it. We have no involvement in, and accept no responsibility for:
- Payment, deposits, balances or refunds
- Cancellation terms or their enforcement
- The condition, safety or accuracy of description of any accommodation
- Injury, loss or damage occurring during a stay
- Disputes of any kind between you and an operator
5. Outdoor activity and safety
This site discusses fell walking, wild swimming, cycling, hot tub use, dog walking around livestock and other outdoor activities. These carry real risk, and in the Lake District that risk is not theoretical — people are seriously injured and killed on these fells and in this water every year.
Nothing here is professional instruction, a route guide, a medical opinion or a safety certification. You are responsible for your own assessment of conditions, your own competence and your own equipment. Take proper advice, check the Met Office mountain forecast, and turn back when you should.
Specifically, and without limiting the above: hot tub advice is general and not medical guidance; wild swimming carries a risk of cold water shock which affects strong swimmers; and dogs near livestock is a legal as well as a practical matter.
6. External links
We link to third-party websites where they are useful. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse their content, and we are not responsible for it. All outbound links on this site carry a nofollow attribute.
We do not sell, exchange or place links, and we do not accept paid guest content. If someone offers to pay for a link on this site, the answer is no.
