Contact Us
We are a small editorial team covering Lake District glamping. We do not take bookings, and we cannot make one for you.

TL;DR
- We are an editorial guide, not a booking agent. We cannot book, check availability or intervene in a dispute.
- Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us, and they jump the queue.
- We accept no payment for coverage, no guest posts and no link exchanges.
- Reply time is two to three working days.

Corrections
This is the most useful message you can send us. Prices change, sites change hands, hot tubs get removed and dog policies get tightened. If you have stayed somewhere we describe and the description is wrong, tell us.
What helps:
- The page URL
- What we said
- What is actually the case
- When you stayed, or when you checked
- A source if there is one — the site's own page, for instance
We will check it and update, and we do not need you to be polite about it.
What we cannot help with
- Bookings. We are not an agent. Contact the site directly.
- Availability. We have no access to anybody's calendar.
- Refunds and disputes. Take these up with the operator, and then with your card provider or travel insurer if needed.
- Recommending one specific site as "the best". We will happily explain the trade-offs. We will not pretend there is a single answer.
- Paid placement, guest posts or link exchanges. We do not do any of these.
Who we are
Red Squirrel Glamping is a small independent editorial project covering glamping in the Lake District National Park and the wider county of Cumbria. We are named after the population of Sciurus vulgaris that still holds out in the conifer plantations around Whinlatter, Grizedale and Ennerdale.
We are not affiliated with any glamping site, operator, agency or booking platform. We accept no payment for coverage and take no commission on bookings. Every outbound link on this site carries a nofollow attribute.
Where we name an operator, we are describing them from the outside using published information and the general pattern of public feedback. Nothing on this site should be read as a warranty about any business.
Before you email about a trip
Most of the questions we get are answered somewhere on the site. The quickest routes:
- What glamping in the Lake District is and what it costs
- Pods, and the four tiers
- Hot tubs, and whether the upgrade is worth it
- Which valley to choose
- Bringing a dog
- Doing it cheaply, or at short notice
If the answer is not there, ask us and we will consider adding it.
A note on urgent problems
If something has gone wrong with a stay — no heating, no hot water, a site that is not as described — contact the operator first and put it in writing. If that fails, your booking platform or card provider is the next step. We cannot intervene, and we would only slow you down.
Questions people ask
Can you book accommodation for me?
No. We are an editorial guide, not a booking agent. We hold no inventory, take no commission and cannot check availability. Contact the site directly — we recommend booking direct anyway, because that is where the flexibility is.
I own a glamping site. Can I be listed?
We do not sell listings, features or reviews, and we cannot be paid to cover a site. If you think we have got something wrong about your business, or you want to tell us what has changed, please do — we will check and correct.
How quickly do you reply?
Within two to three working days for most messages. Corrections get priority.
Do you accept guest posts or link requests?
No. We do not publish guest content and we do not exchange, sell or place links. Every outbound link on this site is editorial and carries a nofollow attribute.
